Phil Ritti – President & CEO

Phil Ritti

Phil has more than 25 years of general management and marketing experience in the audio, video and computer storage industry.  He has deep expertise in cross functional management tying together sales, marketing, engineering, operations, finance and HR into cohesive, high performance teams. Phil has consistently delivered market share leadership, profitability and over $1 Billion of positive cash flow to his respective organizations.

Prior to co-founding Cache-A Phil was Vice President and General Manager of Quantum’s Storage Media Solutions business unit.  He joined Quantum in 1997 and held various positions in media and drive marketing.  Prior to joining Quantum, Phil was Vice President of Marketing for Ampex Corporation focused on professional audio and video recording media solutions.  In addition, Phil worked for FMC Corporation earlier in his career in marketing and finance positions. 

Phil holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

 
     
   
 

Mark Ostlund – Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Mark Ostlund

With a background in software engineering and marketing, Mark has over 20
years experience tailoring computer technology to the needs of the Broadcast
and Entertainment Industries.  As R&D Manager for Philips BTS, he managed
the development of the worlds first HDTV disk recorder for the 1992 Olympics
in Barcelona.  Then as Director of Corporate Products he managed marketing
for their video server product lines.

Joining Hewlett Packard Co. in 1996 Mark was responsible for strategic
planning for their Video Communications Division and the Mediastream Video
Server. While at HP, he was a founder of the Pro-MPEG Forum where he started
the MXF Working Group and chaired it for the first two years.

In recent years Mark launched a consulting company focused on professional
video storage and MXF workflows. One of his major projects was to help
Quantum launch the A-Series product line at which time he joined them as
Director of Rich Media Products.

 
     
   
 

Tom Goldberg – Vice President of Product Development

Tom Goldberg

Tom has been a professional in the television industry since the late 1970s working in engineerimg, product management, and marketing roles for a wide variety of notable manufacturers in this field. Prior to participating in the founding of Cache-A, he was owner of TGCS, a consultancy to television equipment manufacturers and has worked in the industry since the 1970’s. 

Tom began working in the video industry as an engineer and later, marketing at Ampex Corporation and contributed to the development of 3 generations of production switchers.  Upon leaving Ampex he started TGCS and landed a major contract as a consultant to Philips BTS where he participated in the design and marketing of their Saturn Master Control switcher and the Media Pool video server. 

Tom was one of the founders of Pluto Technologies and helped create the VideoSpace and AirSpace video server lines and the transition of Pluto’s products after successful acquisition by Avid to become their play-to-air solution.  Since then he operated TGCS and contributed significantly to the A-Series program while consulting at Quantum and is leveraging that experience in helping to guide Cache-A's product development.

 
     
   
 

Ken Fuhrman – Vice President of Engineering and Operations

Ken Fuhrman

Ken has been a software engineer, business executive and entrepreneur for more than 27 years in the fields of professional media and entertainment, data storage and consumer electronics. His early career was spent at Hughes Aircraft Corporation and Ampex Corporation, one of the preeminent video equipment manufacturers. Ken formed Evolving Video Technologies Inc. (EVT) in 1994, which developed graphics systems for news and sports production. He served as President until EVT was sold to VizRT (vizrt.com) in 1999, which formed the basis for its success in the next decade. He held the position of Director of Broadcast Graphics at VizRT. Ken formed Interact-TV Inc. (ITVI) in 2000 and served as President and CTO. ITVI developed Home Entertainment Servers, one of the first large capacity/low-cost storage solutions for the CE industry. ITVI’s products won many awards, including three Innovation awards at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and Storage Visions Best Integrated Home Entertainment award in 2006. In 2009, Ken started JDV Solutions to focus on high-performance storage systems. Cache-A contracted JDV to help develop their video archival products. In 2010, Cache-A acquired the assets of JDV and Ken joined the Cache-A team as VP of Engineering and Operations.

Ken holds a patent in video processing for graphics display and has presented papers on software engineering, object oriented software design, video system design and storage solutions for the consumer market.

Ken graduated from the University of Denver, summa cum laude, in 1984 with a B.S. in Computer Science and Math and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
